PW 001 Beginner Professional Wrestling In-Ring Training:

  • Overall Objective: Basic wrestling skills and mat work will be emphasized to enable students to tell rudimentary stories within the confines of a professional wrestling match.
  • Students will develop skills related to basic footwork and wrestling mechanics, so that they may safely perform with fellow students in a manner that appears physically competitive.
  • 4 Credit Hours

PW 002 History & Etiquette in Sports Entertainment

  • Overall objective: To supply students with a perspective and insight into the art and business of professional wrestling.
  • Students will also learn the unique rules and standards of conduct that a true professional must know and operate within to insure n any chance of success in a sports entertainment career.
  • 2 Credit Hours

PW 003 Performance Training & Nutrition

  • Overall objective: Students will have a professional strength and conditioning coach who will provide students with supervised and personalized physical training regiments along with nutritional education and accompanying personal plans for the students
    health, well being and in-ring performance.
  • 3 Credit Hours

PW 101 Intermediate Professional Wrestling in-Ring Training

  • Overall objective: To build off skills taught in PW 001 by placing students in ring to learn how to utilize the ring itself for techniques.
  • Students will also begin to develop in ring personas and using said personas to work simplistic matches that tell a clear and concise story. Ring positioning, timing, and physical conditioning will also be developed.
  • 4 Credit Hours

PW 102 Television Show Writing and Formatting

  • Overall objective; To supply the students with the skills and understanding to write episodic wrestling for television and then format said show by timing what they’ve written to fit and flow within broadcast constraints.
  • 3 Credit Hours

PW 103 Financial management

  • Overall objective: To supply students with the skills to effectively manage personal finances (ie, savings plans, investments, etc.) in order optimize post career income

PW 201 Advanced Professional Wrestling In-Ring Training

  • Overall objective: Continue building on skills acquired from PW 001 & 101.
  • Development of distinct characters & demonstration of the personality and beliefs of said character during promos and matches, allowing more intricate and complex story telling.
  • 4 Credit Hours

PW 202 Segment Production & Television Direction

  • Overall objective: To supply students with an understanding of how to utilize their in-ring knowledge backstage by assisting talent with layout and pacing of the match, along with insuring continuity in regards to overall story being told and character being portrayed.
  • Students will also learn skills to supervise and produce backstage vignettes, in-ring segments, on location shoots, and elaborate entrances.
  • Student will also develop skills to understand and know what to look for and how to anticipate camera shots to tell the story on a live wrestling television show.
  • 4 Credit Hours

PW 203 Building a business

  • Overall objective: To supply students with the rudimentary knowledge of how to secure business loans , create profit and loss statements, basic accounting, the difference of a sole proprietorship, an LLC and corporation, and what advantages and disadvantages each holds.
